5.13 子贡曰：“夫子之文章1，可得而闻也。夫子之言性与天道，不可得而闻也。”
【译文】
子贡说：“老师在古代文献方面的学说，我们能够听到。老师在人性和天道方面的见解，我们就听不到了。”
【YGZ解释】
子贡说：“老师在显现于外的学说和行为，我们能够听到。老师在本性和天道方面的见解，我们无法直接听到（需要用心深切体会）。”
【English Translation】
Zi Gong said: “We can heart our teacher’s doctrines and behaviors which are put into words. However, as for the teacher’s insights in spiritual nature and the Way of heaven, we cannot hear directly.”
